Configure Claude Code

Claude Code integration can change between versions. Prefer the custom Base URL and API key settings supported by your current version.

Configure with AI Toolbox​

Add Orbit AI API as a custom provider in AI Toolbox's Claude Code configuration. You can switch between an official subscription and custom providers, which is useful for managing multiple environments.

1. Add a provider​

Create a Claude Code provider. Enter a name, Base URL https://orbitaiapi.site, and API key, then select the Claude / Anthropic-compatible format.

2. Fetch available models​

After saving the provider, use the model-fetching feature to retrieve the provider's available models.

3. Confirm the configuration​

Choose a model and save the configuration. Then start Claude Code and make a test request.

Final checks​

  • The service address is https://orbitaiapi.site and the format is Claude / Anthropic-compatible.
  • The API key is stored in AI Toolbox and not in project code.
  • The model name exactly matches an available model in the console.
